Walk to End Alzheimer`s brings visibility to disease

Sep. 26--On a day when hundreds of people typically gather at Lake Shawnee in support of those with Alzheimer`s disease, the scene Saturday morning was quiet. While this year`s Walk to End Alzheimer`s looked different, the energy that surrounds the event was still felt as hundreds in northeast Kansas still walked. But instead of starting lakeside, each person started walking from their doorstep.
